3-6 April 2015, after discussing one night before about which mountain should we visit this time, finally we (Egie_Abah and Me) decided to go to Mt. Rakutak (1922 mdpl). First, we gathered at Nia's house and continue by using several public transportation. In the discussion a night before, the team only consist of (Egie, Ala, and me) but when got there, there were three additional people that joined (Aldi and Nia "the house owner"). the third additional player would meet us in cibiru. I didn't have a clue who the third person is, Egie just said that, we are safe, coz he's coming.. :D.
We wait for this third person in Cibiru, and it's surprised me, It's "Penbul" (I used to hike with him), he said he couldn't join the trip coz he got something to do.. well, he lied.. :D
We went to rakutak by using public transportation, and finally we got there approximately at 17.45. after repack, fill the registration form, we start hiking at 19.00. almost forgot, we got to support their campaign for conservation (reforestation) by bringing one tree for every person, they had prepare the trees, we just have to bring it until first post.

we got to the first post at 21.00. the guardian said "it's better for us to camp in tegal alun (first peak) and continue to the second peak and main peak at morning. after dringking some hot coffee, hot "Gorengan", and chit chat about rakutak, we continued hiking at 11.30 (almost 2,5 hours stop, :D). we got to Tegal alun (1st peak) at 1.00 am, after setting up the tent and everything, we cooked. but first someone had to get water first, egie and nia were the chosen duo. it took 20 minutes to get back with the water, with sweat all over their face, egie said the path was so stiff, it's so hard to climb with 5 L camel bag in his other hand. :D

we all got up at 8.30 (usually we got up early, probably because we were too tired last night. :D).. I volunteered to get water this time. Because i'd been told earlier about the terrain, i brought bag and knife, in case i met boar. Well, i proved my self, the path was so stiff, fortunately, i can use two of my hands.

After breakfast and small chit, we went to the 2nd peak, it took around 30 minutes to get there. from 2nd peak, you can see the main peak (3rd peak), not too far, only around 30 minutes trip. but the way to get there was challenging and also beautiful at the same time. your right and left is a very deep cliff, with a very narrow path, this path called "Jembatan Siratol Mustaqim", the reason that makes hikers wanted to try walking.

after 30 minutes walk, you got to the top. but the journey continue cause we had to go to Ciharus lake. It's 16.30 and we were still in rakutak's peak (1922 mdpl).

After an hour walking, the real journey finally begin, we had to walk through the forest's ridge, while dark and rain accompany our journey. (I got no picture of it, because it was raining, :( sad ). We had to stop and camp at the intersection, cause we didn't know which way to get to ciharus. after setting tent and eat, we slept.

In the morning when we were still discussing about which way to follow, two locals passed by (thanks GOD). we asked them and they showed us the way. the way to get to Ciharus required us to walk along the river "Ciharus is the head of the river".

we got to ciharus at 13.00. Ciharus is dirty, many garbage filled the place even the lake, too bad. But still, it's beautiful, i can't imagine if ciharus is clean, it will be so very beautiful.

We left ciharus at 4 pm. in the way to get to kamojang, we detached into 2 groups because of the track. 1st group (Penbul and Nia) 2nd group (Abah, Ara, Aldi and Me). 1 group accidentally come out in paseh while me the second group come out in Kamojang.
It's late night, when they informed us that they had already in paseh, while us waiting in kamojang (we thought they were lost.. :D). Finally, we follow them in paseh and get back to Bandung.
